Commuted in mine today, running nicely as always.

I got annoyed with mine and spat my dummy out!
Been trying to sort out all my additional wiring, along with adding some for a leccy fan and also an led light bar for the roof (mahoosive and provided very kindly by Mr @Marmaduke). Ended up changing the alternator as the smoke escaped from mine. Need to reduce the maximum current load.......

Another reason to buy a discovery :p

Took out the homemade gearbox tunnel and started to fit the new (2nd hand) one just brought from fleabay, only to find I need new floor panels as previous owner had cut the originals to fit bodged box shape diy cover.
Seems everytime I touch my Landy I end up needing to buy/fix something else.
:(

Swapped the self park switch from my old 110 to my very soon to be tested 300tdi and hey presto, the wipers stop at the bottom. Cheap fix. Tomorrow its down to local garage with a headlight beam height measuring machine and then should be all ready for test.

Today I took the DISCOVERY transfer box off my 90 because it has shamed itself and peed oil out since I fitted it a couple months ago. It’s the only leak on my 90!!!
Front output housing and the seals and joints on it are all replaced / remade. When I get back from the pub I will do the intermediate shaft then glue the inspection cover on. It’ll be ready to refit tomorrow unless I get drunk!!:D:D

You told me that you'd nicked the seal putting it together ;)

Fitted sound deadening to the transmission tunnel and the central part of the bulkhead. Also did a bit of body adjustment to get the door gaps right, and fitted a Wolf style step at the back door.

I checked to see why the temperature gauge is going straight to boiling and the secondary gauge on the lower pipe is reading as expected.
The wire seems to have been made up of several short pieces and crimped together with inappropriate connectors... o_O
I have replaced with a single piece connection and all is good now :D
I just need to work out why the diff lock light is not working......

It was ok. The leaks were from the intermediate shaft, front flange seal and the joint between the main housing and the front output housing.
Got it finished (finally) today. Tested and so far so good!
Also made a start with fitting my CB
