Replaced the front offside wheel bearing, because of a hard ABS fault. Another issue off the list. You got to love a Britpart part for lasting about 3 years before going wrong.....

Installed my Flatdog boot shelf to keep random bits and pieces from being in the way of the main load space.
Matte bonnet decal to reduce summer glare, with nice logo detail.
Dixon Fabrication rock sliders fitted. Don't need them, but they look great!
Replaced old, seized front calliper carriers, and added wheel spacers. Must remember to go back in and re torque them in 50-100 miles.
Replaced the steering bars, and threw the tracking completely out in the process. I clearly wasn't nearly careful enough when trying to match the lengths.
Cracked open one of the rear door lock mechanisms to replace the motor. Lost a few tabs, though there doesn't appear to be any reason for them to exist since it's screwed together anyway. Part of me is surprised it worked. 3 more to go...

Decided that I need to check the oil pump sprocket bolt on my 2000 TD5. First job was to remove the front crossmember. Air chisel, breaker bar and 2 hours of fighting with rusty bolts and it's done. Knocked the captive nuts off with air chisel so I can use bolts and nuts when putting the crossmember back.

While waiting for the parts for the job made spacers for the front crossmember. I have longer shocks and mild lift so in theory the propshaft could hit the crossmember. The block of steel was practically free of charge, just needed 2 hours of drilling, cutting and finishing the product. The rusty look fits perfectly under my D2!

New Monroe shocks just arrived from Paddocks. Good enough to pass an MOT as mine are original, and are very rusted. Suppose I've got to get off my backside and fit them now.... Still, another bit knocked off the very long list. Might tackle the new Watts linkage next.... Its a Britpart one, but will get me going as mines just a bit clicky...

Will take the time to refurb the old linkage, so I have a spare when the Britpart one goes belly up....

So i have had my new to me discovery for just over a year now, went through the MOT no problem, just needed a new rear number plate bulb.
Gearbox went crap, couldn't select certain gears and whining loudly then couldn't select any gear apart from 4th, so got second hand gearbox fitted and a new clutch whilst it was out.
New battery (correct one) as was struggling to crank and was going dead after being left for a week.
Polished the headlights last weekend too (sanded, compound, polished and UV protected) look like new now and make the front end look very clean.

still many things to do like get rear windows working again, strip folding mirror switch to get it to work better, Lanoguard the chassis especially the rear, just to name a few of the many many things that need dong.
