I've got a Nanocom, I don't think the Foxwell one was useable with the D2 when I bought mine.
@Stanleysteamer has a Foxwell I believe, he should be able to give you the lowdown on it.
Hi, the Foxwell I have (NT530) will do most things on all the LR/Jag models (so you don't have to pay if you have any other LR/Jag's as they come inc:)). On my D2 the only thing I've come across so far that it won't do is ride height calibration (if your still on air that is) but it will let you change between air/ springs so the SLS light isn't on. So far on my D2 & FL1 it's paid for itself 10x over. For the price you can't go wrong & the more expensive Foxwell's will no doubt do more. I think most can be used for other makes, in my case the wifes Mitsubishi Lancer (up to 4 different makes I think before you have to delete a make, to make room for something else) it also has a SD card slot so you can save any data. IMO a great addition to any LR owner :).

I haven't used mine for such a wide range of things as @Andy Warren has but I echo what he says. for me they are the best value for money diagnostic by far and more trustworthy it would appear than a Nanocom. Although doubtless that, as a Hawkeye, is a good machine once you get to know it, and if you can afford it.

Just replaced the 3 main dashboard lights on my Disco 2. Hopefully now i can see the speedo and fuel gauge in the dark. Nice blue LED ones. Learnt something off youtube video of chap replacing his. Did not realise that 180 degress out the led bulbs would not work. That would have stumped me. So thank you trollmanrs on youtube.

(Hawkeye total myself. So far has been very good and done everything asked of it. But understand not produced or supported now for some reason)

Hi, have you got your D2 back yet & were the any there any unforeseen bits that pushed the price up from the quote ?
I'm hoping to get mine booked in for February & it would be handy to know so I can prepare myself:eek:, many thanks.
Hi! sorry for the delay in response! got the Disco back a week ago now, the rear chassis replacment was done smack on budget! just got back from South West Rust Proofing today who have given her a full inspection prior to the underside being wax oiled internally and then protected externally in March. all was good with just the cills needing further welding ! (small miracle i believe) interstingly the guys were saying they turn away over 50% of Disco 2s as they are just too far gone! Hope this helps!

I'm taking mine in tomorrow to be done on Monday. Did they cut the boot carpet for access to the fuel pump/pipes or take the plastics out & fold the carpet back ?

New shocks front & back, new coils to front for my D2 TD5. Already did back springs earlier, so now it sits on brand new feet. Can't wait to get it on test drive, maybe tomorrow.

Rear brake lights stopped working on the D3

Checked the fuses etc had a good read of the manual ( electrical diagrams ). got the computer out and plugged it in to see what's happening etc

The Mrs " bulbs have blown have you checked them? " I was like no because they have both stopped working!

The bulbs in fact had blown on both sides so replaced them, felt a bit of a div tbh ha ha but left me wondering what did cause them both to blow at the same time? hmm...

Hi, as we all know when SWMBO is right, she's right but when she's wrong she's still right:D.
On the bulb front I've noticed on my FL1& my daughters Skoda Fabia when a tail light has gone sometimes the H7 H/L bulb on that side will go soon afterwards, not sure if lack of resistance in the circuit (once a bulb has blown) causes a spike but normally the bulbs are at least a year old. Not had two bulbs blow on opposite sides though but at the end of the day that's electrickery for ya !o_O

Finally got the rear chassis quarter done just got to clean & paint the middle section (as the front is in good nick) then it should be ok for a few years ;).
