What did I do yesterday on my Emily (no smut please! She likes in the rough!) Replaced side steps mounts with nice shiny black new ones. Had been looking for ages for them as usually all I got was ^you have to buy steps too as we don't sell mounts separately "!!!! Well as great chap on eBay has about 10 sets all new in boxes with part number on and are genuine land rover part. Got them for £24 and free nxt day postage. So if any of you need some drop me a line and I will give you his details or just look up side steps service kit.

And today I will be loosening body to chassis mounts (ready to install 2^ body lift) grease the buggers and make ready to do lift.
I also made a external sun visor that bolts on to my roof light bar. Looks good and bloody works. Even stops led light bar lighting up bonnet
So what you all been doing

I’ve been swapping out the gearboxes and also going to do the Watts link bushes.

Oh, what a mess! How some of you guys do this on the driveway I don’t know.

Most of the tools were for getting the crossmember off. All but one bolt sheared so I have a task to drill that lot out and re-thread.

I am hoping to change the clutch on the drive in March. I have already changed all the cross-member bolts. The ones that sheared weren't too bad as I used a lump hammer and a punch and just knocked them upwards to break the spot welds. There was one bolt though that rounded off and this was a total pain to grind.

What I would do to have a work space like you have alpinejim! Would make doing my old v8 up so much easier. Yes I do it outside the back gates on a uneven surface that don't drain to well. And if I need a cuppa I have to pack up all my tools for fear of them going walk abouts. Your a lucky guy alpinejim

Today I renewed injector harness, cleaned out ECU , seals were shot and oil up to red connector, I’ll give it a few days then reclean. Replaced doughnut , well worn. Then last job changed fuel pressure regulator, slight leak , what a pig to change. Next stop MOT tomorrow afternoon

Update
Well mot done no advisories, happy days.

I certainly do appreciate it. The trouble is though, the more space you have, the more mess you make.
I wouldn’t be without it though. I’ve done my share of laying on the road or cold concrete.

took the landy in for a mot today to see what it would fail on and go from there
it only went and passed with no advisorys happy days

I know what you mean fella I didn't have time to prep it so I booked it in to see what it would fail on
my last d2 failed big time rotten as a pair my own fault you live and learn

Drove it like I stole it... normally going to and from work I tend to bounce along at 40-50mph, but as I was at our DR site this afternoon, I had a good run back around part of the TT course.
I forgot how good it is with the remap :D

New wiper blades, fresh screen wash and replaced those pesky heater control bulbs.
I can now see where I'm going and also see what I'm pushing.
