It dint help the tyre pressures were all over the place

I can't believe discos are more expensive to insure than tratters though :eek:

You could flog those wheels and tyres get a more subdued set and still be quids in.......

Had a bash at the wheel bearing.

Remarkably everything had been reassembled with copper grease at some point. But, well. The half inch persuader didn't take kindly to 18 stone on 6 foot of scaffold pole... so off to halfords for a replacement this week.


Then I need to find a borrow of an electric windy gun. Or a proper breaker bar.

Having had a puncture the other day in the pouring rain, luckily towing an ifor so had trolley jack with me, I would not want to lift disco on the pathetic scissor jack, I shoved the flat in the back rather than hang it underneath, I wound the cable in a bit to stop it dragging.
So today have been fixing the winch internals to get the wheel snug
What a stupid, crap, **** piece of engineering, there rant over!

sounds like u had real fun, not

i also refuse to use the scissor jack, would be like gambling to see if u could get away with it or not

having to replace the spare wheel winch on mine , as the cable is all tangled and kinked, can't be bothered trying to repair it so just bought a new one , want the thing to work if i'm stuck in the rain etc and not having to mess around too much

also seen these metal protector discs to stop the spare getting nicked , but are nearly £100 , so decided to cut to size a piece of ply , 18 mm thick , if it lasts a year that's a result and at least it's better than nothing

daft question if i may please , is it true that u can't put an inner tube inside a tubeless tyre, yeh i know always ask the daft ones, lol

hope u get it all sorted and don't pull ur hair out too much in getting the spare all back on
