well kinda did summit stupid today i dropeed a nut down the f'in inlet mainfold and it got stuck in piston! ****

Does anybody know where i can get replacment gaskets from bearing in mind my engine is a essex 3.0 litre ford v6

and
to make me feel better has anybody else ever done this i am soooooooooooooo annoyed i had to take half the engine out!!!

if your looking for anything to do with ford injuns have a butchers at burton performance in ilford , on the A12 eastern ave , they do mail order if yer too far away

Couldn't you have retrieved it through the spark plug hole with one of them little magnetic pick-up tools?

well i tried doing that though the spark plug holes but had no joy there either so off came the rocker covers and the inlet manifold and wala i found it with a magnetic tool thingi

Evenin.
Bin there, done that on the same engine. Had it in a lightweight with some rangie diffs. Fantastic. I ended up rebuilding the engine while it was apart though, but i was absolutely 'king furious when i did it. Trouble is there's nothing you can do.

Nick ey is this nick thats friends with Jacqui And Will or is this a different one???

yes its a right fecking pain of a job but its only cost me £30 in gaskets so not too bad

a done it too a got it oot by takin oot the sparker and takin of the inlet and a sooked it oot wi a dust extractor (4" pipe reduced to a 1") cane oot nae bother
