Suspension calibration appears to have taken nicely following a 60 miler yesterday. Did what it’s supposed to do without throwing a wobbler. Now to tackle the next issue, the gearbox doesn’t appear to shift beyond third. I rarely drive above 50mph which is about 2000rpms. If I do the revs climb, the gear doesn’t shift up. My thinking is either gearbox service, relay, or MAF, or it’s fine and just needs strangling a bit more? Never a period of calm with a senior P38.

I don't know about the V8 but I doubt the MAF has anything to do with it. No relays involved. Speed, throttle position, input and output shaft sensors and engine temperature sensor can all affect shifting as does the XYZ switch.
 
Bump stops, what holds them in. During the calibration one fell off and it just pushed back in its housing.

My guess would be the box thinking it is commanded to 3 not D, although that should show on the dash.
Otto usually gets to 4th by about 35 to 40 mph.

A nice little amber warning pops up on the dash letting me know I need to drive for ~30 minutes at a reasonable pace.
 
Bump stops, the old ones will pull out as they’re foobarred. Do the new ones want pressing in and is there a top tip?
 
Well, I didn't do anything with it, I sold it in May 22, I do miss it though, but the finances were not up to it.
I sold it to Matt at High Peak Autos, he loves these cars, mine was 20 years old, so I wasn't expecting a great price.
He did tell a few porkies on his video tho', the rear lower tailgate struts were fine, I had cleaned and lubed them 2 days before. The folding mirrors did work, anyway it transpires you can't get insurance now, my last quote, before I sold was £500.
