Well, I didn't do anything with it, I sold it in May 22, I do miss it though, but the finances were not up to it.
I sold it to Matt at High Peak Autos, he loves these cars, mine was 20 years old, so I wasn't expecting a great price.
He did tell a few porkies on his video tho', the rear lower tailgate struts were fine, I had cleaned and lubed them 2 days before. The folding mirrors did work, anyway it transpires you can't get insurance now, my last quote, before I sold was Β£500.
Here is the link to the video Matt did of my car:
Not a bad job to do but, I wasn't looking forward to doing the right hand one luckily, I never had to.Fixed the broken inner door handle cable.. then removed the glove box and looked over into the depths of the dash towards the left hand blend motor ....and thought....
errrr ......
no....
not today
The right hand is a touch easy and you can see from above but the left for me is more daunting with the glovebox in its entirety. I'll cut the rear air feed tube below the level of the blend motor and gain access that way I think. Then Gaffa tape the tube back together along with some other leaky air vent pipesNot a bad job to do but, I wasn't looking forward to doing the right hand one luckily, I never had to.
I see the battery is on charge!I got tired of the 'cloak of invisibility' letting other drivers think the road was clear and they were fine to pull out / across the front of me, so I made a Clarkson-esque upgrade....

It can be made to strobe, too...
I removed the glovebox and the airbag to give more light on the subject, the worst bit for me, was adjusting the glovebox lidThe right hand is a touch easy and you can see from above but the left for me is more daunting with the glovebox in its entirety. have you got a photo with it on pleaseI got tired of the 'cloak of invisibility' letting other drivers think the road was clear and they were fine to pull out / across the front of me, so I made a Clarkson-esque upgrade....

It's the ducting that goes to the rear vents. I'm not really wanting to remove the centre console as the plastics break every bloody time no matter how carefully I goI removed the glovebox and the airbag to give more light on the subject, the worst bit for me, was adjusting the glovebox lid
after re-fitting to get it to latch properly both sides but, got there in the end but, I don't recall cutting any ducting.
Yeah, I've had that problem too, which reminds me, the piece of trim above the glovebox is a bugger to get off as well. It's the ducting that goes to the rear vents. I'm not really wanting to remove the centre console as the plastics break every bloody time no matter how carefully I go
I find it's best not to respond of someone pulls out on you. They have a habit of stopping in their tracks blocking your pathI got tired of the 'cloak of invisibility' letting other drivers think the road was clear and they were fine to pull out / across the front of me, so I made a Clarkson-esque upgrade....

I hardly ever got anyone pulling out when I was driving this one....I find it's best not to respond of someone pulls out on you. They have a habit of stopping in their tracks blocking your path
OMG!!! Foam party!?!?
That's more habit than need TBH, SDD and pretty much all other dealer diagnostics get all panicky if the battery voltage is below 12.5V - plus it's no harm to maintain the charge level whilst working on a vehicle, it's surprising how depleted a starter battery can get with doors opening & closing etc.I see the battery is on charge!
Yep, I do the same when working on the P38'sThat's more habit than need TBH, SDD and pretty much all other dealer diagnostics get all panicky if the battery voltage is below 12.5V - plus it's no harm to maintain the charge level whilst working on a vehicle, it's surprising how depleted a starter battery can get with doors opening & closing etc.
