Will that was interesting. Went to have a look at the car. Battery was a bit low but just unlocked and lights on inside etc, bit otherwise load test was ok.
Started up. Fine. Seemed ok to me but mate said it didn't sound quite normal.
Checked all sorts of stuff including charge voltage, all good. Went round the block and it cut out all the dash lights on!! Got it going again and accelerated off as typically stopped across a junction.
Loads of water came out of the exhaust! Obviously i didn't measure but maybe a pint!? It was clear so not coolant. Coolant hoses weren't hard. Voltage was between 11 and 12 so obviously a charging problem but no battery light at any point.
Weird! How does water get in the exhaust on that quantity?

Loads of water can come out of the exhaust simply due to condensation in some weather conditions

Did your RR cry itself to sleep, could that be it?

Not seen many had any luck with changing the desiccant. whole drier brand new is cheap as chips.
They are if you want a cheap Chinese one. Mine seemed to be flowing air freely anyway so I don't think it was going the the cure but once it's in bits you may as well keep going eh?

I ran it without the compressor cover on it and you can hear the air venting just fine but it only seems to lower the back of the car so I'm leaning towards a front valve block but I'll start a thread for proper discussion in the relevant place.

Today however, I did nothing with my RR but my wife took it to work because some thieving scumbag stole the tail light out of her car! They must have been disturbed as they only got one screw out of the other side (wrecked the paint on the sides of the tailgate of course) and then they moved around the village nicking others. I've seen at least one other D4 with no tails lights in it today. I'm annoyed at the loss obviously but I am furious at the fact she was so upset. That is unforgivable!
Rant=Off.

So I had the brakes done for MOT and the garage clearly didn’t bleed the things per manual. Besides the occasional hard pedal I notice a burning smell earlier and when I checked the wheel nuts were nipped up the back nearside disk was red hot. Thoughts, I had no issues prior to the brake pipe replacement.

That said, snow all gone now. Tomorrow I will head to around Berlin then Sunday to Delft.
Monday with a customer in Holland then on the boat back to hull Monday night.

I will at some point get the android head unit fitted! Using my JBL smart speaker is better than driving in silence but it's incredible how much music you need to fill a car at 80mph.
I think I need to get the insignia mot'd then I can use that for a week or so whilst the dash is out.

Is it an L322? If so, the rear calipers are notorious for seizing on. I've stripped several and rebuilt them but they never work properly. Much easier just to buy a couple of new ones.

Had to use my B&O portable speaker for over a week last year when my amp packed up on the first day of my trip to norfumbeland.

Either go back with it out of principle or just sort it yourself so you know its ok ay it

Maybe check the new parts fitted first, if they've effed that up anorl defo go back!

Wammells!

They only replaced corroded pipes. So I suspect the brakes weeent bled properly. The binding brake unknown. It needs to come off the road soon so I’ll sort it then.

Have they left a clamp on the brake flexi for the wheel that's hot?
Also check the flexi for any swelling, it's not unknown for them to crack internally when clamped if they've not been changed for a good few years, which then allows a pocket of fluid to form in the wall effectively forming a restriction so there is no or little relaxation of braking force when you come off the pedal.
