Just about every door and boot seal on mine is leaking water. You can see where it has flattened over the years. Ideally I would push something flexible, like a mini version of one of those swimming noodles kids learning to swim use, and push it in the seal to give it some shape back. Any ideas?
I've done something similar on an old Peugeot in the past with old motorcycle fuel line. Fish tank airline might work too?
 
Swapped insurance to this D2, she's gonna be SORN very shortly and I'm seriously considering putting the effort in to fix the oil and coolant leaks and sell it properly

After buggering about with the fuse box and battery earlier this week (L322) the DRLs now done come on. Can they be enabled via the vehicle computer settings or is it more sinister?

Could it be bulked out with some foam strips or something to bulk it out, just needs to fill the gap?
 
Well its been wild rain and wind for days,
Had to pick up cars also lifted the rear of the body on a 2010 3.0 tdv6 sport for a rear ace bar the owner buys and sells a few motors here and there and the mrs said that she really wants it to his reply everythings got a price :rolleyes:

also refused to put fuel in and suffer the weather and get blown away for as long as possible 😅

iv actually found somthing i preferred about my td6 too the supercharged changing the starter motor, that was a tight ackward top bolt many swear words was uttered ( im 5ft10 and 68kgs) so hardly big built and it was a fiddle

How long did it take to change starter? Think mine on my 4.2 is getting bit lazy. Up in Scotland in a week or so, hopefully it will behave itself.
 
Got track control arms changed the other day and track rod ends today, it’s going in garage Wednesday for Coolant hose change that lives deep in the V of the engine, preventative maintenance. Also past few days heard a odd noise between 20-40mph when driving, almost like when you hear somone drive past with mud terrain tyres, only had the nexens on about a month and seem quiet, noise seems to have come since doing track control arms but changes with brakes so wondering if there getting tired, everything else is solid, no movement in wheel for bearing and when spun no viberation through the strut. Mechanic thinks possible wheel alignment issue as steering wheel was at 11/12 O Clock since changing the arms is moved to about 12/1 O clock. Drives fine and stops just irritating, i first though bearing but they normally get louder at high speed, this is quiet, doesn’t sound like front Diff, as they seem to grumble not like a tyre noise.

When it does it, stop quickly and go and check the temperature of the rear wheels.
Mine did similar and It was one of the rear calipers sticking.

I did track rods on the wifes Corsa years ago and it drove perfectly straight until one front wheel hit a wet grid and the car shot off to one side. Din't half sh1t me sen first time it did it. A quick tracking job and it were rite.
