Since the thingummy wotsit got plugged back in.. somewhere down the right hand side of the radiator (looking from the front bumper) car has been much happier. Glow plugs work properly and doesn't smoke when it's cold
You'll have to go do your motorway route again and see what it has done to your economy now....

That is the one - Brookside garden centre. They had a major flood when the link road was being built that washed a lot of the railway away. There is a much longer track than it looks from the road.
Ah right, thought it was only tiny track, will have to take half a day out and call by, not to far, about 40mins be from me.

It is much longer than it looks - maybe a mile in total?

Yep - the usual 7 1/4 inch gauge track at all of them I think. Not sure of the operating hours / days but they will all have a website or a bit on the garden centre page I imagine.

I thought rubbish DAB reception was normal?

I have not kept up with it, but there were loads of reports at one time that DAB simply did not work when on the move and it's notable that the push by the BBC and others to switch to DAB seems to have gone quiet. The only real reason for DAB is that it frees up the analogue frequencies so the government can sell them off for more money to squander:rolleyes:

Depends mostly on the antenna location & quality. My P38 uses a 1/4 wave bit of coax hanging by the tailgate window and works well 90% of the time with full signal on the receiver. Wife's Freelander has a proper amplified antenna on the roof, and works 99.9% of the time.

The other issue with DAB is too much audio compression & low bitrates so they can cram in loads of junk niche channels onto the 4 RF signals.

The new light cluster arrived yesterday. I had a right to do getting the old one off, in the process broke the outer lens even more. On close inspection, the condensation had created a little pool in the bottom, which had corroded the chrome, the bulb assembly was badly rusted, I am glad I replaced the whole shabang. I have some piccies, tried to upload, but I don't have permission to perform this action, ok then I won't, sorry guys. Are we having uploading problems?

It's pretty bad :( i was annoyed i let the subscription renew. I've offered to help as it's what i do for my day job but no luck there either
Right Kermit, so it is an IT problem, I think somebody did something, like an upgrade, without knowing the consequences of the impact of said upgrade. Now, they can't remember what it was they did and did not do a backup before said upgrade or whatever was done. OUCH!

Unfortunately, some people can't admit they made a mistake, with computers it can be terminal sometimes. At least the bare bones still work.
Everyone makes mistakes, I've made some crackers in the past!!

It's hard to say without seeing the actual code but it looks like the upload button calls a separate script which likely had the wrong ownership so can't write to the pics folder since the upgrade
