Engine or gearbox?

While we are on drips what sump plug/washer brand do you use?
I’m on my 3rd type (bmw) seems odd can’t really get anything on there like it’s wrong fitment somehow.

Engine oil.

Plug is original so I assume it is BMW. I used the washer from the Mahle oil filter kit and it doesn't seem ro leak.

Ran the mains cable out to him so I can bung the dehumidifier in when the washing has finished drying. Try to keep the electrics sweet, although the wind and sun at the new place seem to dry him more / quicker than at the old place. Still got to book him in for the brakes.

Holy f*ck. Have you seen the price of EP75w/90R?! I got some clearance stuff for £20 but price quote from my local place was £50. The stuff from Eurocarparts is £45. If you see it cheap, fill yer boots!
Same for engine oil, lucky I got a few from some place.... ;) 5l ones from the garage, have about 5 left now, but it's heavy for diesel, and I now have petrol.... still an investment for my kids I guess :D:D

Drove and drove and been on car shifting today, its creeping closer and closer too 200,000 miles :( poor old thing, guess i better plan on changing the filter in the gearbox since thats on 50k,

Brake fluid flushed and brakes bled. I thought the brakes were OK before but they're excellent now. I reckon that needs doing once a year, minimum.

Oil in front axle replaced. New stuff is transparent but says it is the right grade.

I've got a stash of that from the last Eurocarparts sale so I am good for a year. Hoping things will settle down before I need to buy again!

Definitely once a year, water in the brakes can cause expensive problems
