Piddling down here alsoFinally finished faffing about with the front hubs etc on Buttercup, all new cortico seals, all new timken bearings, mostly new bolts. Thought I would flush the brake fluid while I was about it as last changed 4 years ago, used 1.8 lt. Now waiting for the rain to stop and roads to dry out before I road test her, don't fancy putting her in a ditch from dancing on the pedal.

Must admit I was quite tempted to go fishing this afternoon, nice mild SW breeze, alright if I can keep dry, but I have to wrestle the French driver licence website, which is being a pain in the derriere.Piddling down here also

It took a couple of weeks for the actual licence to arrive, but I had an attestation immediately.I think mine took two weeks back in 2019

There was no requirement for my UK licence to expire when I did it, they just kept my UK licence.Progress, yeah, I thought I would start the process in plenty of time. Posted my paper dossier off to ANTs in late 2019, heard nothing for 4 months, told this was normal, so hung on. Then early 2020 had it sent back with a refusal saying only to apply 6 months before my UK licence was due to expire. And can now only apply online. So made my online application last October, had a couple of hickups due to the required form from Swansea had expired, the form is good for 21 days, there is such a backlog it expires before they look at it. so have to re-send a scanned copy.
My licence expires in a week so getting twitchy, though have been told it is normal to get it processed and legal around 2 days before.
It's not just me either, since "Streamlining" the system, all licenses in France (locals as well) are delt with by 6 people, so legend has it.
There is an automated query button on the website, but so many people are trying to leave a query it is too busy and crashes, don't even start to think of trying to phone up the help desk.
OK rant over.
mag to grid get rid buddy.Lose my **** with it. Yesterday the MFD started saying driver window not set. Couldn't be arsed to set it figured I'd sort it today. Came out of work, car unlocks. Drivers doesn't. For some reason the car doesn't appear to recognise its existence. Locks unlocks with key in the door, but doesn't activate central locking, windows don't work, speaker is silent. I can only assume the loom is broken somewhere. ****ing Landies man, pain in the tits.
That phrase just took me back in time to a rainy day in Bassingbourn!mag to grid get rid buddy.
