Apart from all the other aspects, by my reckoning, BEV's are less fuel efficient than a modern diesel, for a start they are very heavy, more weight uses more fuel we are told, then look at how electricity is generated world wide, much of it using fossil fuel and external combustion, not very efficient. Then you have line losses, transformer losses stepping up the voltage for long distance transmission and down again for local distribution. Batteries are DC so there are rectification losses when charging the battery, the motors are AC so there are inverter losses converting back to AC and so on.

Where did you get your silicone hoses from please Brian?I made my own ones up using silicone bends and straight pipe it was cheaper then the silicone kits you can get and they do it in a selection of different colours i had to go for red obviously
think it worked out about £40

I had a hunt fleebay and found the best price in the colour i wanted, at the time fleebay was a wash with stuff but seems to be lacking since covid

My P38 got dug up moved to Solihull to be built then to Wales and stayed here. Modern cars have been shipped around the world dozen times before they even get assembled. More pollution from building one EV than to run a p38 a lifetime.

Go for the studs. They stay with it instead of being £50 of scrap every time. Beautiful kit, work perfect. Actual torque instead of just an angle, leave it overnight between stages, it'll be sweet.

Worth it though.
The biggest issue with stretch bolts is inconsistency, some stretch too soon and others don't stretch soon enough and you pull a thread out of the block..
A variable worth removing IMO.
Just been out and changed rear wiper blade. The metal frame of the old one rusted to f***. Can only assume this is from the salt sprayed up of the road when driving. Anyway all good now
