Okey-dokey Ta.
Drove her again this morning after the short test run yesterday, immediately after the box oil change, and it seems to be very slightly improved a little more. I guess the new oil has to work its way round a bit and maybe the big improvement I was hoping for may still happen. Changes were smoother, not a lot, but noticeable.
I'm definitely going to do another oil change, is it worth doing it again now? Or let the mix of old and new churn around for a few hundred or thousand miles?
I got maybe 6 litres of new in. I want to look after her best I can.

They normally recon three changes to do a complete change and replace the filter on the last one.

Looked in to my suspension issue properly. Had replaced the entire compressor unit to no avail so started looking at the wiring. Lo and behold, problem found. 20 minutes with solder, snips, heatshrink etc got it all sorted and working again!

Saved me the £500-£780 2 'specialists' wanted to charge to replace it.

Nearly as bad as mine was :D

Yeah, that looks bad. Only 1 of mine was completely separated however another 3(!) were on their way. Its just a quick fix for now and I've cut up a microfiber towel to provide a better cushion for the opening. When I get back to it I'll find some shaped rubber with a channel to make a proper 'mouth' for that part. Will probably do the same for the airlines at the rear as that foam stuff is really poor.

Yep, in the boot - it's where the cables run in to the enclosure. The foam padding is crap and it had worked loose. The edge of the enclosure is quite sharp!

Thx will have to make a note and check next time I pull it into the garage for a check over:).

While I've had the ABS grumbling because of the split reluctor ring, I've not had the day lights come on since replacing the sensor!

Deployed the dogbulance again. My collie really can't get a break. Violent seizures today knocking him for six.

Got the Golden Girl some nice new rear wellies. Just in time for winter. Only needed ( almost) one. So put the good rear on the spare, and the spare in hut , as a Justin. :)

Poor dog, .hope he's OK
Not going well for him. Overnight stay in the out of hours vet (so many puppies awooing for their parents). Going to be an expensive night.

I might have to start looking at ways of making Sandy a better dogbulance, currently just a hammock over the back seats as Socks gets travel sick in the boot. Want something a bit more comfortable for him.

Otto got the steering linkage reconnected - so much better movement without 25 years of sh*te blocking the splines. Almost an easy job.
Retorqued the inlet manifold and valley gasket clamp bolts - all went 1/8 to 1/4 turn tighter.
Fitted the ignition coils and the cleaned fuel rail, with 8 new 4 hole Bosch injectors to replace the Lucas single hole ones.
Gave up as frozen toes and dark.

Hope he is OK and home soon.
He got dosed up to high heaven. They elected to send him home with us, mostly I think because the wife and I were getting bad vibes from that place, won't use them again. It has been 13 hours since his last seizure, I think we're out of the woods now.

Had to have a slumber party downstairs to keep an eye on him all night. So much snoring on the drive home though, Socks does enjoy a car ride.

Poor dog, really hope you find out what is causing the seizures. I have had 3 Border Collies they are great, so feel your pain.
