continued strip down of motor ready to remove cylinder head and see what damage I have done.Quite a big job getting exhaust manifold/turbo out but all done now, couple of oil drips that I can sort now that I can see where they are coming from. Still head off first.

Got car back from local Indy today head gaskets done heads skimmed just keep eye on temp and water levels for few days gaskets done on exhaust manifolds aswell sounds like it should now had cam sensor changed aswell as mine was throwing up a fault hopefully will run ok now for a while put some more funds away for next job

replaced the elbow joint from the inlet manifold to the top hose as it gained a pinhole which started to rust out. ran it for a while it seems no more water leaking. will run it for a couple of days to check, then coolant flush through it, then new coolant.. to leak out from a new place !

Halfrauds ones. 382 I think they were.

They were indeed the 382 LEDs and they do throw a bulb failure message for the RHS. Didn't think they did when I first fitted them but they sure as hell did today!

I gave "drift stitching" a crack because I know I am never going to try plastic welding the cracks in my bumper, and I probably aren't going to buy a replacement part anytime soon. The splitter could do with being redone because it wasn't properly aligned, but the remainder looks pretty good. Considering it was a done while waiting for the internet to come back on, I think it was time well spent.

All I've done lately is find out the rear wiper doesn't any more :(
Oh and the central locking is playing up again on the rear doors :mad::mad: can anyone recommend a H/D aftermarket door solonoid? don't want to pay LR prices.

Ran it out of diesel the misses used it and said there should be enough to get you there and back, well it didn't even get me to the nearest station, I was not best pleased :mad::mad:

Mine's the same. Doesn't matter which car I pick, if she's been in it it'll be running on fumes. I've had to invest in another Jerry can so I'm ready to go rescue her.

Top job Dave, they look like new again. Mine also need a bit of TCL, sounding a bit bouncy, could I ask what exactly did you do to fix them.

Paul.
