Another MOT passed!

That's the 11th without failure since I've had it. Tester said mechanically very sound-slight corrosion underneath.

Things are playing up though. Had Rick unlock the BeCM earlier this year (battery went flat) and so far so good. Still a problem with boot release and interior lights though-cannot open boot until interior lights go out and cannot disable interior lights. Has been an ongoing issue for quite a few years (BeCM?) Also ordered a new boot solenoid as old one is getting tired.

Still got a bloody water leak from windscreen-will have to replace it and the headlining is starting to drop.

Sunroof will open but not close-suspecting the switch (may again be BeCM) and need the radio code.

So not too bad for 11 years! one FTP and that was under the car port.

Steve

I notice your tailgate seems to have a large dose of that creeping fur, most of us seem to end up with. I found the easiest way to move it , oddly enough, is a pig's ear or similar meat based products

Thanks Joss,

I've tried sealing it for the last 11 years.
It stopped leaking for a few years after using Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack cure-I'll try again with it. It's leaking from the top seal.

Cheers

Steve

If you pull the a post covers off and take the front bits off the headliner back to the sensor it will come down enough to see up the inside of the screen to the roof. Then you can cover all the seams as well as the leading edge. Mine seems good now

I was going to suggest Tolleys, never used it myself but a camping car forum I visit has many happy users.

Nice motor by the way (for a non-classic that is):):)

New windscreen fitted courtesy of nationwide windscreens (fantastic service)
I now have a heated, non cracked and hopefully non leaking windscreen.
Happy happy happy.

Had her f#@$*#@ jump started by the AA before I could go anywhere. There should be no clouds in Scotland for weeks because the air was so blue when she wouldn't start! Apparently the liquid will have crystallized duemtomthe constant drain/flat and the battery needs a deep charge cycle but even that might not fix it. So new battery sitting waiting for me at garage, to go in tomorrow.

They are the to**ers that did mine again and again and again. Hope you have more luck than me
My mistake, it was national windscreens.
Very professional, most of the screws in the trims were rusted in but he managed to get them all out without damaging the plastic clips and put all new screws in.
I honestly can't complain.

It’s ok a mate. It was through insurance of the previous owner after I’d bought the car. They did it once with them before I had to get them back to redo the job. Gave up in the end.

Seems they ain’t so good. Looks like you’ll be having them back to replace it then ;)
To be fair, he did point out that the clips were not in good condition and did say that they would supply and fit a new one but it would probably be after Christmas.
I simply don't have the time so I ordered a new one and new clips from paddocks.
Only a 10 minute job to fit.
