Yesterday I took a nice long drive down to the South Coast in my old girl to look at a prospective caravan park (one of the main reasons I bought her). All in all I did around 250 miles trouble free driving. Dogs loved the walk in the woods nearby, car looked lovely and shiny with the trees behind her. I was a happy chappy.

Went to get in her this morning and she's not talking to me! The fob won't unlock / lock her and the key doesn't do a thing! She's just an ornament for the minute so I'm busy googling! :)

Well to start with checked all oils engine autobox diffs t/f box and coolant all spot on even though front hub/shaft seals are still leaking. i treated her to 90quid of diesel. Then a years tax. Picked up my driveshaft seals And drag link and track arm. Then shifted 5 rolls of carpet on the roof if it for my granny. Then was up at the farm and made her do some work

It'll take more than that to get a seed drill in!

Fitted Reconed FIP and new O rings to oil cooler pipes and sealed up cracked sump hopefully just got to make up a battery box for my second battery now and will be ready for this years trip.

Done drag link this morning(still need to adjust steering box is off center) but wow it actually stays in a straight line. Adjustments and track arm now just home again

What exactly do you do that takes you all over the globe or is this just leisure travelling? :)

Found key Number 1 by accident today, which had been previously lost in a 6 acre horse paddock last August. Fingers crossed it will work once cleaned up

Replaced the drag link and track rod, complete units and fairly straight forward job. Transformed the steering. Going for tracking tomorrow. Just got a new MOT with advisories for play in the drag link and front offside tyre worn on inside. All connected me thinks.
