^ nice. very nice.

Anyway, I fitted the last spring. Greenies on the front and red\white on the rear. Fronts took ages due to nuts and bolts and turret retainers all being jammed up and seized. Bunged new bushes on the dampers as well. Rears took no time at all.

Drives fantastic now. Much better on the corners at speed.

Passenger door handle replaced so now the wife can get in without waiting for me to remember to open the door! Also fitted replacement ac pipe hopefully off to get it gassed up tomorrow.... fingers crossed for chilly air and the disappearance of the testbook on the hevac display.

Drained and replaced brake fluid no evidence of it ever being done from the service records since 1995 . Very simple and worthwhile job that i had not been looking forward to doing

Just got back from 400+ miles holiday to Norfolk towing the new heavier van. Didn't miss a beat but got less than 20 mpg - can't have everything! (big van, big range rover, small fuel bills :)

Edit:
That's the last time I say how well my RR is going ......... See my other post "oil forced out of intercooler pipe .." :(

Ac nitrogen tested, vacuumed and regassed now lovely...... even better testbook warning now off whoop whoop! Another item ticked off!

Had new Windscreen fitted due to large crack from top to bottom.
They also fitted new top and bottom screen trims, thank you Autoglass.

Having fun off road happens more frequently now.

replaced the steering damper, feels a tiny bit better, put in a new clock ( green faced) missus thinks its easier to read than the original:rolleyes:!!
Replaced the rear washer jet,the metal ball was missing from the original one and just squirted water onto the ground instead of the back window!!

Oh and took the missus and the pony to another horse show!!! She got 2 firsts :)

Not a bad day all told. time for a beer!!! :beer2:

Drove her about 2,000 miles. No problems to report.

But I have spent a lot of time looking at L322s to replace it. Narrowed it down to one of two. Both identical, 2005 same colour, kit list, etc. only difference is TD6 or V8. Since I Was seriously looking at a L322 my lil P38 has behaved herself. Have to visit Croydon next week and give them both a test drive.

like what you did with the dash, looks really well, nice one:)

Thanks. Looks a lot better than the worn black plastic that was there before! and better than fitting a stick on wood kit that would look terrilble in my opinion!! Just need to get hold of a second hand hevac unit to strip and spray for a reasonable price!!

Get one of those stick on wood kits and spray it as a temporary solution. ;)

I have been toying spraying all of the "wood" piano black in mine. The wood just looks cheap.

Prefer to do it proper first time, but did think about getting one of the stick on bits for the hevac. decided it probaly wouldnt take to being sprayed!! Was thinking about spraying the bits i took off and putting them on ebay, just trying to think what colour to spray them.:p
I have all six of the wood trims from the top of the doors and dash to spray the same colour when i get round it. Would i be able to say it was autobiography when im done? :p

a autobiography can be as simple as 1 upgrade to skys the limit, it doesn't state on the v5 but all autobiographys come with a build tag on the slam panel like the one below I broke a few years ago
