dropped it off for a bonnet and roof respray ,now driving a 1.2 fiesta loan car ,not quite the same as the rangie.

Just bought a pair of front fogs off fleabay ! I'm hoping the fitting is straightforward but I'm expecting y'all to tell me there are 15 steps to get them working ! It looked easy on the the Wheeler dealers episode I watched yesterday.

May need enabling in the BECM.

Spent most of the day trying to work out where the fecking noise that suddenly started last night was coming from, and what was causing it. It's coming from the air box, no issues when in neutral, but in gear sounds like a machine gun and lack of power. Hoping that I will get a few solutions from here tonight/tomorrow so I can fix it :D

Back firing through the airbox due to a knackered MAF sensor?

Thanks Steve, it was just replaced, and when I unplugged it, the car almost stalled. Tried running it without the MAF connected, made no difference unfortunately.

Finally got some 16" rims with decent tyres on. No more tram lining!!!! Still got to tackle passenger side blend motor as other half currently sitting in the cold!!

not today but last friday picked it up after getting the bonnet and roof resprayed ,well impressed ,as soon as the weathers decent will get them waxed . as for today just drove it to the shops

Got a phone call from Land Rover. The RF reciever isn't available until at least Feb. Think they are just trying to chin me off.

I think the rapid price increase of the RF receiver over the last 18 months and the fact that LR were often only letting people order one was an obvious sign that they were running out of them - and probably have done so now.

Try Island4x4 - they may have a few left in stock.

Today I picked up some new fuel line so I can change the leak off pipes the same time I change out the heater plugs

Got back to the UK, opened the garage re-connected the battery twice in the heater plugs and she fired into life first time after being laid up for six months! Re- set windows let the EAS sort itself out, took for MOT passed with no advisories, happy bunny!

Missus & P38 arrived back last evening from Paris. Nearly 900 kilometres covered including 4 weeks of local running about in the centre and no faults:) I don't know whether to be relieved or impressed that the P38 was reliable:rolleyes::D

I think nothing of jumping in my car and driving 900kms - my p38 is my daily driver and I travel up and down the country on business - not all p38s are unreliable - we just don't hear about the good ones! :)

I'm doing a 360 mile round trip Sunday to pick my mum up from st Albans. Then doing it again the week after to take her home. Have every faith. Not let me down yet
