I'm halfway through removing the heads on my P38 4.6. Got the nearside head off. Had a little faff about with the heat shield on the manifold but managed it in the end thanks to my mate the Grinder!!! The combustion chambers on the head were very clean I guess that's one of the benefits of LPG, the downside is after 90k miles of LPG use the valve seats have seen better days. I poured some petrol into the combustion chambers and sure enough one of the inlet valves started leaking. This will explain a lot of my rough running issues with it effectively back firing back up the inlet. So tomorrow I'll remove the offside head as I have a suspicion I also have a dud valve on that side to. Then it will be off to the machine shop for the necessaries and hopefully all good. I have to thank my Nanocom for narrowing down the valve issues without it I'd of been lost.
Went shopping, 60Km round trip.
If I tried to use SatNav it would be double that with all the diversions for the new Tours/ Bordeaux TGV line. I found a long time ago that SatNav is pretty useless in France as they keep building new roads and railways that the SatNav doesn't know aboutSatNav broken??

We live a long way from town
Just a thought, in the UK they are talking about HS2 taking 13 years to build, here they are building a similar length of high speed line in 4 years according to the publicity.
