What are they guarding against?.
I had a pheasant take out my headlights. I suspect light guards would've prevented it happening. But heyho, I'm not awfully struck on light guards so I just risk it.

My last one didn't have them and I wasn't looking to get them. But this one came along with them and I actually think they fit it's looks, so I've kept them. For the sake of some beer tokens and a bit of my time, I thought I would paint them and see how they turned out. Worse case would be to get rid of them and have the holes filled and sprayed by a car restorer mate of mine.
As for what the light guards are for, well not far from where I live is Crawley and it protects the lights as I wade through the inbred Zombie locals!! (cant go there again! Yey!!!)
I decided that my light guards and door handles were looking a bit faded. So I bought some primer and satin black paint and got stuck in to the rear guards.

I am quite pleased how they have turned out.
For the door handles I bought some java black coloured covers off that well known auction site. They have worked a treat.
Next are the front guards and possibly the grill.
Now just waiting for the replacement nuts and bolts before I put them back on the car.
Nearly rammed my Rangie up the arse of our finance managers car. She decided at the last minute to bang the brakes on to park her car next to her friend's car. I accepted her appology (nothing to do with the fact that she wears low cut tops) and later she bought me a coffee
He was just after an apology and a look at her cleavage. It' a new way to effect an introductionIf you had to slam on you was too close to her car anyway. In future leave a larger gap.
