Ordered the bits for a turbo boost controller for my p38 diesel.
Dismantled a knackered Garrett TD6 turbo i plan on fitting and found the shaft snapped clean in two.
Yes, with the other mods I have done. Checking the compressor curve it is getting out of its operating range. Originally sized for a 135bhp engine. The existing Mitsubishi turbo runs out of steam. I have measured it with Faultmate. The Garrett GT2256V turbo is sized for about the same power range my engine will be operating at 190-200bhp.So your hoping its going to go faster once you fit this td6 turbo ? Lo

I think he is the chap who mated the ZF24 with the 2.5TD, so all should be good... for about 500 yards.Cool, will be Intresting to see how it turns out.
Won't your gearbox snap with all the added BHP ?
Too much negativity and cynicism on this forum.
As a matter of fact my p38 is driving very well thank you. As it should have done when it left the factory.
The most comfortable 4x4 yet and cheap to maintain.
Yes I have fitted a HP24 box together with a larger intercooler, JFearne chip, BMW expansion tank with level sensor, aircon fan mod, stainless exhaust, GG AT2's, Arnott Gen III air bags, + 2" extra lift, underbody protection, removeable winch, removeable tow hitch using a US 2" receiver to name a few.
Did the US receiver set you back much? I've been debating changing my tow bar for one. Don't seem to come across many in the UK.Too much negativity and cynicism on this forum.

How much has all these modifications cost you though ?

Bit more polite when you want something. Eh?
You can get the 2" receiver from Devon 4x4, speak to Jake.
Range Rover P38 2" Receiver
It should not affect type approval for the towing bracket as it is only the hitch that is changed. I also bought the recovery hitch and the ball mount.
Mine is a 110AH Elecsol 950CCA. Not the battery. Something else going on with mine.135AH 1000CCA battery wins every time
