Tracked my suspension parts i ordered over a week ago and they are still sat in the UK. (so much for my usual weeks delivery out here) guess they are under lock down as well, Bugger, wanted to get them fitted before the snow arrives.
Ordering the parts was easy, paying for them painful as always with our machines and parcel force picked them up easy enough they have just been sat at a post office depot for a week??It isn't a real lockdown. Car-parts are open as normal. I hear there are delays at ports because firms are stockpiling ready for Brexit next month. Might just be a rumour though.
I must say my VM Classic hardly turned over before starting. The Boss wants to clear cupboards and units do hopefully I'll find photos of it and I'll scan and post. Take care and stay safe.Started Buttercup for the first time in a month, fired first time which I was pleased with considering we have had 3 days of frosty mornings. Let her run while I got the little compressor filling and checked/topped up the tyre pressures. Guess that's it for another couple of weeks house arrest.
Those Turbo R Olympians are indeed rare albeit the colour and the interior are all the same and IMHOP as a previous Bentley owner and now a Shadow 2 owner it was a tad too much for my liking. The folk who order these cars new are loaded and have no taste sometimes. Their tastes can sometimes ruin a cars future value as it can put folk off. Have you thought about having a machine polish done first on your P38??? this can sometimes work miracles and save you a bloody fortune. I had a car done a few years ago which was red and flat and it came up lovely and only cost me about £300 i think. Plenty of really good valaters out there today WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING where as most DONT. Just a thought option for you buddy. Thanks, 99% of the time she is gleaming a respray is in order sometime, when i can afford it.
After a while the P38s grow on ya, always fancied a Nice Bentley or a Shadow that wasn't rotten, my Uncle had a Turbo R Olympian one of the rarest. he was surprised to find it was worth almost as much as the house he lived in!
How did you type whilst praying?left in the hands of the MOT station...
