Dragged up mate
Yeah, same here. Not much to say was ours really... Nice people back then in the 70's and 80's.. But then drugs and crap as the like became more so.. Then à lot of great things got ruined. Relationships and lively hoods. Liverpool is nice if you live somewhere else.. Sorry to say. But hey, in a much better place now:D

My mum was born in Birkenhead and although I grow up in London we spent many school holidays up there with my cousins. It was a great playground, rail yards, marshes, Bidston Hill Woods. We were let out the house in the morning and didn’t go back until teatime. Then the Ford Estate got built and my cousin had the keys to the first house sadly that was probably the last good thing that happened there. When I returned years later it was overrun with drugs and eventually all the blocks of flats had to be pulled down. I haven’t been back for many years and hope some of the beauty has returned. I should make the journey down the M62 to see for myself.
Tricky.

Save the fuel mate,I'm sorry to say,the youth are feral.riding stolen motorbikes without helmets so the police cannot intervene in case the little darlings get injured. my son in law had his stolen and the idiot posted a photo on Facebook complete with reg.number o_O his address was traced through social media. The police were informed but they said they couldn't do anything so he took the law into his own hands.found the scumbag and his mate ragging his bike up one of the main roads in the north end of Birkenhead so drove him off the road into a low wall with his van.how the lad ran away he doesn't know as according to Facebook he ended up in A&E with half his calf missing. When he loaded his bike into his van a few locals came out and said we saw everything, he was going that fast he lost control, was nothing to do with you.:D He had been making their lives a misery all day. There are some good people there but the minority I'm afraid.

It’s sadly the way of life for some. For us we have found a better way, it empties our wallets but we don’t turn to crime to fund it no matter how much we my be driven towards it.
Tomorrow I will be driving my Range for the first time this week as Mrs Tricky has had the keys. I am expecting a big smile o my face. :)

Not been to Birkenhead for years! Expect it's changed somewhat

Still got it. Its still parked up. Fired it up for the first time since finding filings in the gearbox 6 week ago.
Fired straight up no issue.
Air suspension hadn't dropped much.
Poor thing.
Got money gathered for getting it done finally work hasn't been ideal.
I seriously can't wait to be back in my rangie

Treated her to some oil, screen wash and a new keyfob battery (tired of getting locked out because the key lost sync), then I watched the news about the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict and saw the most upsetting scenes imaginable. When will the merciless killing end?
