Brake guide pins arrived so fitted them. Put a cable tie on each end of each pin to make sure the little boot stays put. Good job I did the rears too as one had seized during the week on stands.
Full brake bleed then off for a test drive. That's where the trouble started. Got back and felt front wheels and they were hot! Brakes must be binding. ****.
Dug around and found my original Land Rover calipers and a brake seal refurb kit. Got the old pistons out and with a bit of wet and dry the bit below the groove looks great. Bit above is fighting me a bit.
Question: I wire-brushed the caliper bodies (they were really rusty) and applied a rust remedy solution. I thought I might paint them but all I have lying around is Hammerite straight to metal. Any ever used it on calipers? Can it take the heat?
