Magnolia emulsion! If it doesnt last then its only a 5 min job to take it out to cover it with fabric but this cost me nothing
Alternator done. Easy job. Monitored the voltage on the obc on way home. Sits around 13.8v with everything on.
The plug was diffrent on the bm alternator. so chopped a plug off a donor engine and made a double ended connector adapter basically.
So the original lr plug is there.
Wifes car battery fitted fired up better then before.
All works didn't cost a penny (for now) win win.
13.8 volts is no use on a modern Lead/Calcium battery, it will not fully charge the battery. 14.2 is the absolute minimum and on your car it should be 14.7/14.8 volts. You need to get a new regulator with a 14.7 volt set point.Alternator done. Easy job. Monitored the voltage on the obc on way home. Sits around 13.8v with everything on.

Yeah 2 coats to cover the mould stains. Not sure how long it will last but I didn't have anything more suitable on the shelf. You just peeled off the fabric and painted it with emulsion ?!?!?!
Looks decent may even do mine tomorrow like that
