so the new screws are almost identical to the old. Apart from the fact they are self tapping.. But not an issue.

Out with old and on with the new!

thus stuff can be cut with a good pair if scissors and formed by hand really easily.

And using the original clips but not the rail for the sponge.

And the flip side...

and there was 18 screws in the packet which replaced all of them including the pollen filter caps:cool:

Just for reference to size and they screw in perfectly. ;)

You say "... Imprezza"... I say "Imprezzive"! Is it straightforward to do it?
Very easy with a pair of tin snips. I can give you a link to the perforated alloy I used which being flat fits using the wire retaining frame that held the foam. I also fitted it over the 2 end openings where there was no foam, that needs a couple of self tapping screws. I posted some photo's I think but as the search is not working I can try to find them and re-post if you wish.

Looks good but harder work than using the flat stuff

I did the same and covered the ends as well. Seems daft to put sponge on the middle and leave the ends open..

How did you stop the H2O ingress though?
I ran a line of sealer around the plate which covers the pollen filter housing, all the 10mm bolts and the plastic plugs that the screws run into and around the pollen filter housings.

Nice job, I put stainless steel screws all around

I live near Slough, they have everything you need there, there's a shop that just sell fixings of every type and size

What I found was that Yamaha FS1E gearboxes are too small for all the bits to fit into. Some kind of Tardis effect going on, methinks.
Fizzy gearboxes were easy! Only 4 speed.
Pain in the butt getting all the shafts to line up when you put case back together though!
Round file on the disc valve worked wonders for a bit more poke though!

Get yourself on LZIR!
I can’t i have commitment issues. I’d make exception for certain people I guess. What good would it do when I sign in 11pm - they’d have walked back to Salisbury by then

What make was the OE battery in a 2000 P38 diesel? The one I replaced was a Lucas
Lucas is as shyte as the original. They should all have a 1000cca 120ah type 31 imo. It just makes everything work properly and dependable. I stand by Datatek’s recommendation of batterymegastore.co.uk version. I bought the wrong one and it cost me a little extra.

Hmmm, after the wet passenger footwell and degraded sponge for the heater intake, decided to do this!!

OK, it's a little suburu impreza but being aluminum it's really easy to use.
@Doo has the same stuff as that, is inside his vehicle too. I think it looks okay but I do prefer Keith’s.
