Email from Black Box with log in and pw. Someone, that would be me, can't type and spelled my own name wrong on the reg page so they were trying to email someone that doesn't exist.

Ah well. Removed the EAS compressor and valve block ready for disassembly and refurb when my kit from X8R arrives.

ETA: So, opened up the compressor and immediately got the lovely smell of cooked wiring. Motor is completely banjaxxed. I assume you can't buy the motor separate, it's a whole compressor replacement?

Well... i jump started it then took the left hand dash apart to find the wiper motor relay... found one, unplugged it, nothing changed... I think there is a clue in that.

Then I unbolted the battery and found the relay behind that, un plugged it and now my wipers dont work at all. I put it back.

I then rumaged about and unplugged the headlight wiper motors.

Then it started raining so I came in for my supper.

Just a normal day.

I got this pic off my diagnostics... it says the wipers are wiping when they parked and parked when they are wiping ;-[

P38 is a bit notorious for headlight wipers not parking properly and causing spurious issues.

Did a one wheel up test..

Couldn't even get it to turn at 220nm..

A 16st H_b jumping on the bar got it to turn though!

VCU is goosed ;)

took the bus for its mot. passed, noice!
slight difference in the front brakes of 23% between the two front wheels but as it was on a two wheel rolling road with two portable rear rollers, I did somewhat doubt the precision of it as she doesn't pull at all in use.
the guy did listen to me and turned it off for 2mins before doing the emissions test to allow the gearbox to depressurise and took on board the abs test sequence.
very happy.:D
