after my not so pleasant journey home last week, when the waterpump went, I got to doing it today and other bits..

Mechanical Water Pump
Electric Water Pump
Thermostat
New Idler Pulley
New bonnet release cables (all three)
New Bulkhead to condenser pipe
new temp sensor

Cross Drilled and Vented disks with new Brembo Pads with new pins, sliders and of course pad sensors ( I did 1 of the 3, the other three tomorrow as bad light stopped play)

Just dropped the liner to check the wires that run along the roof..

Taken as much as poss out the interior to clean and check!!

Stinks to high hell too..

Need to clean that connector and I hope it fixes it!

Fuse 15 does control the AMPS and thats ****!!

Got her back from MoT, although the test man was adamant that she is down on power, I've had her for almost 10 years, and other than being a little slow off the mark when cold, never really thought anything was untoward. Now I need to find me a slushbox derv to compare and see if he was just trying for more work.

But 1 more year of ticket. Yay!

Test drive another. Mine was sluggish when I had it, will shift now after bit of tlc more than I ever expected. These engines do rely on the turbo pressure a lot, although reliable turbo can’t be expected to push out full (138bhp) after two decades.
If it runs well - chip or psi powerbox is the answer ;)

chip or psi powerbox is the answer to destroying the gearbox.
 
His is down on power. Did you find much of a difference driving with the powerbox??

Investigate what could be wrong is best. If it puts out enough for you, then it’s enough Bix. Auto will suffer from upping power as Datateks says, R380 is okay

Enough to feck my gearbox. It was quicker but unnecessarily so, the P38 as standard is quick compared to other
4 x 4's I've owned.
I have one P38 with 167K on the clock, no power box but it goes very well. There is no apparent drop in power compared to my other P38 with much lower mileage. If it's down on power, there will be a reason that needs sorting rather than trying to cover the problem up with a power box.
 
I have the power I initially wanted from a powerbox without needing one. Still a chance my FIP is tiring so il not chance it yet, dependability was my main reason for P38 so is main factor.

@Bix whens last time you had intercooler off and new air filter? Intercooler fills with crud and light oil steals load of power. Pipes can get stretchy too
