Drove her to Londinium. Once I could get her out the bloody drive, that is!!!!! Had to get the AA out before I could even set off!. Too tired to think straight at the moment, after 11hrs on the road! Something to do with the engine earth. So the very nice man bypassed it to let me get where I was going but she's off to Gibson's again when I get home.

Wish me luck guys and gals. Going out to see if she'll start and just let engine run for a bit, as she's been sitting a few days!

Yoo hoo kiddies. I'm back mmwwuuhhaahhhaa. The good news is the Golden Girl start first turn of the key, the bad news, as already stated is ......... I'm back
I'm already bored of Englandshire and dreaming of home, although it doesn't look like the roads are any better. I'm off to see this tonight but the Golden Girl is resting, as it is within walking distance :( Got the step-son and his boy visiting tomorrow, off to Kew on Sunday and hopefully Golden Girl gets us home on Sunday. The safe home will depend on the behaviour of the amount of prats on the roads. Actually wouldn't mind them on the roads, could drive over them, problem is lots of them are in cars ;)

You're welcome to a cuppa in Bucks on your way back north ... and recharge the battery from your f*cked alternator / earth / whatever.

Awww thanks for the thought though. Apparently it's closing early as they are also having a light show. So it's afternoon tea somewhere instead.

Thanks, will keep that, very kind offer, in mind. Although, I think once I start heading North, the charge will be on ;)

Braved the winds we are getting at the mo and drained the fuel tank.
After all the faff with cleaning the fuel lines etc seemed like a good idea before I put any more Km's on her. Had to use a plastic storage box as a catch tray due to the wind.
Not much crud, just a few small flakes of what I assume to be rust, and a SPIDER :eek:. After a bit of thought I guess it was in the funnel I used to put fuel in to flush through.

I loaded the last few bits of the one I scrapped into the back of my discovery and trailer ready for the scrappers when they reopen after new year :p. Front axles and doors are bloody heavy for a p38

Used mine as a pet ambulance, our foster dog needed a tooth removed.I'm sure the vet checked with JLR before presented the bill.
Poor doggie.
I loaded the Golden Girl and headed home. She started first time and ran lovely , apart from the fact the vibration that was almost fixed , isn't. :( It got worse and worse the further I travelled. Odd thing is It's intermittent. Some stretches, it was just a vague presence, other parts it was really bad. Not a road surface thing as some poor surfaces it was ok , some it wasn't , etc, etc. Ah well off to Gibson's next week.
