Gave the ignition barrel, the door lock and indeed the seat belts a squirt of graphite lock lube. Everything works like new. That stuff is fantastic!

Got home this evening and my new brake accumulator was here so just been out and fited it in the dark.

Dead easy! ;)

Had a look at my rear puddle lights, found they were rubber blanking plugs. Wonder if the wiring loom is in the doors so I can fit lights? Job for another day.:)

Clearly you need a better butler - imagine leavings bungs in and not replacing with lights.

Kinda shocking behaviour right there.

I know, I did have him whipped behind the stables. Don't know whether the lights were ever there but taught him a lesson to be on the safe side:D

Bought a 12v power socket/cig lighter from Halfords a while ago and decided to replace it today. Completely different though so I've had to do away with the light :( and also shave a bit off the light reflector on the new one to make it fit.

Also, FINALLY, sorted out the switch pack - I'd never managed to get it to fit properly when I refitted it from doing the O-Rings but now it's sorted and securely fitted!

Spent day two trying to get the RHF headlamp out to get to the non working wiper motor and gain access to the washer bottle motors and connectors.

Eventually Stalled by a single 10mm nut - actually the stud that the nut screws onto. Keeps turning.

Tried everything except sawing a slot in the stud and using screwdriver with spanner. Do it tomorrow as it's still freezing.

On the plus side:

Got the radio working and CD player too and paired my phone to the Bluetooth already installed.

Used the programme button to demist etc. Heated screen not working but screen and sides OK. Does this show that the blend motors are working as they should?

I think mine is taking the ****.

Earlier while I had the console apart I also fixed the whine on the stero and remembered that the light for the hazards didn't light up when the headlights were on, so swapped them round.

Sitting in it now...and now half the hevac controls don't light up as well as the front fog switch and eas lock.

I think it's trying my patience a touch.
