Spoke too soon, alarm went off! Laptop doesn't want to play so i can't read codes.
While i don't believe in coincidence, i don't see what could have happened at the garage to be a cause.

You cant take the body off an L322 but you might have to drop the front subframe 🤷‍♂️ o_O.

No its up near the scuttle panel on the wing (you know that anyway) Shirley your little green flippers can get in there and work out which tab to press to release the plug:D.

On my P38, I did a shopping run no problem. An hour later I had to go to the airport to pick up guests who would be staying in my Gite. The battery was as flat as a pancake, it would not even jump start. It was battery sudden death syndrome, new battery sorted it. Guests had to get a taxi!

I'm starting to think this too
 
My green P38 ran perfect all the way from Ferndown to Langley this afternoon . . . and then after dinner 3 miles to drop off a fridge & freezer and it cut out completely. All lights, engine, everything dead. Even hazards not working. Checked battery cables, etc & all seemed ok. Banged the fusebox in frustration & it came to life. It did it again a mile later. Another two thumps with the fist & managed to coax it home the last mile, although I had to keep the revs up & brake left footed.

At least I have a spare fusebox in the garage (but don't know how good it is), so guess that's my weekend decided !!
 
My "new" bargain basement 60 reg 4.4TDV is using about half a litre of oil a week, and a container full of coolant a week, doing about 500 miles. It's been diagnosed as leaking oil cooler, I really will have to chase the dealer who sold it to me. I emailed the prolem to him 2 weeks ago but no reply, no surprise there. It's a nice car so I reckon is worth keeping. Hopefully he'll meet the cost of replacing the oil cooler, a local garage has given a more sensible price fr the work, about £750 plus VAT.
 
Used it to take a parts transit home, then used my current working transit to take my pals big trailer back, went for fuel and put of habit put £30 of petrol in before i realised, brimmed it of diesel and done about 300miles today, keeping it topped up of diesel, then emptyed the tank and new fuel filter, fresh tank of diesel, and went too see another job 40 miles away, still got a missfire part throttle and smoke, guess iv damaged an injector or something it was sold and ment to be going sunday evening just gave lad his deposit back and il run it till it explodes, i get my new one next weekend anyway,
Picked up my new to me front and rear subframes and front 6 piston callipars and hubs and all that bits to fit them, but that'll have to wait till frames and stuff are blasted and coated now so that'll be January before it gets done

Could be just the power cable to the box is loose.

I went in the garage to use my P38 for the first time in a couple of weeks & found it had an absolutely stone dead battery too. It was so dead that I couldn't jump start with the Lithium-ion battery pack I keep in the car. I pulled out the Hankook MF31-1000 & put it on charge then dug out the old Halfords battery that I kept after I replaced it with the Hankook three years ago. Happily it started first go even though it had only been charged up fully three years ago when I replaced it.. I hadn't been getting any problems with the Halfords battery. I only got the Hankook because Battery Megastore had them in stock at a good price.
It turned out that the reading light for the driver side rear passenger reading light had been accidentally left switched on. It's idiotic design from JLR to put these lamps on a circuit that isn't switched off with the ignition. In what circumstances would you ever want to have a passenger use the reading lamp when the engine isn't running?

I charged the Hankook MF31-1000 for 48 hours & it seems to be holding charge well so will be putting it back & keeping the old Halfords battery & keeping it in the garage as a spare.
