Yes I have changed all 3 blend motors without removing the dash, they came out of the RHD scrapper and went into the LHD project car. Access is harder IMO on the LHD.
I've had all the centre console out right up to the eas panel before and the clocks and knee panel out, cut the ducting too for the O rings. Do I need to go further? Glovebox?
I believe there are 2 motors behind that ducting (blend?) and 1 near the front and top of the heater box(distribution?) The distribution motor sounded OK compared to the clackerty others.

I'm pretty sure I took the glove box out on the RHD but not sure for the LHD.

So there must be a threaded sleeve then? same applies - correct torque, but also make sure the sleeve isn't binding on the injector and the internal & external threads are clean. Normally I'd caution against adding lubricants to the threads as that can lead to over-torquing but with something of the P38 vintage, a little light oil on the threads might help overcome 'age'.

Injector screws into the ally head. I've got a feeling RAVE says 60 nm in one place and 70 nm in another. Pretty sure I went 60 nm on mine and they've been fine. I didn't even anneal mine, just torqued them up on the new head.

the exhaust 'shield' at the rear of the DPF has started rattling..looks like its been clamped around the exhaust .. maybe i can wrap some wire around it
