Took mine for a front tyre to be looked at, been going down for a few days now. Turned out to be damaged on the inside between sidewall and tread so none repairable. Ended up buying 2 part worns for front that were a matching pair and kept the good tyre for a spare.
Interesting thing though was they have 3 bays and 12 of us were waiting. Out of the 12 , 10 had tyre damage and needed replacement tyres. One guy needed a new rim as well. We were all shown our tyres as they came off to show the damage. I use them regular so know a few of the lads and on talking to them they were saying loads of their work is tyre replacement from damage due to the condition of the roads.
One of my customers said “why do you use a RR why not a estate” my reply was “I need a RR to drive on our local roads, and if a wheel enters a pothole, need 4 wheel drive to get out of it” 🤣.

Yes, same with suspension and the rest. Keeps the taxes rolling in.

Funnily enough even when it was chugging like an old tractor the performance & fuel consumption were unaffected.
When my HG went, it was on #4. Lift the bonnet and you could see it puff!! Blip the throttle and i newly jumped over the moon!! It was like a machine gun. Should have taken a video of that one

Given the dirty nature of diesesed engine, should i be routinely cleaning the map sensor? Do you need special stuff to do it?

Got powersteering pump and actually gave it a rinse off

I've blasted mine with brake cleaner twice since I've had it, was never very dirty anyway and made no noticeable difference (both MAP sensors, I don't feck with MAFs)

Do you mean MAP and not MAF? Either way, leave well alone IMO.
I thought it was MAP, plug in type sensor rather than a flow through type.
I know they can get full of disesed blackness.. but dunno if you leave it be until it dies, or if you perform black magic 🙄🤔🤣
