Heres the noise of the new pas pump for anyone intrested,
After doing 40 miles with that today and possibly 150 tomorrow im not listening to that, thats from like 1500 up it just whines its box in
Refitted my old one, a whine at idle and upto 1000 rpm is better then that, undertrays and covers are left off,

Thankfully managing to get the tension off the belt without having to remove the fan or belts made life easy,

I did check all feed and return lines was clear and blew through them, and checked all the banjo bolts as my bmws have a check valve on the return banjo that can cut pump pressure when steering takes a bump but they can also activate by boiled fluid ect, the rangie doesn't have but i didnt know,

You can't scrap it for that  if you do, drop it back here, I am sure I could make it work long enough for an MOT!
I have a day off so today I’m hitting it hard. I’ll try to identify why the OBD port isn’t liking the Nano, I’ll take all the plastics off again, charge up the brand new battery again, remove the cluster and check the bulbs again, remove and clean all the connections again. I have a contact standing by with a spare ECU and squib 🤡

Have you also checked the connectors under the kick panel?
I’ve had all the shrouding oft the A and B posts and it’s coming off again today. I’ve cleaned every connector recommended on the forum. There is no corrosion or water ingress around any of the connectors. It could be as simple as a fault code reset but I cannot get a tune out of the Nano.

You don't need to do any reset to clear the SRS light, just cycle the ignition
There's definitely something by your right knee as you sit in the car, not sure if it's a solenoid or something else black box like.. that caused my light to come on more then once, just needed to wiggle the connectors and it was fine. There was no visible corrosion on that plug or the one under the seat, just a poor connection.
Is it the SRS or ABS that has 2 dash bulbs? I forget? If one fails or has a bad connection, the other will light up

I’ve checked the bulbs and they work, that said the bulb to holder is poor quality for LR 🤣
