Why does everyone drive so freaking slowly!? Worse, nobody seems to be able to drive at a steady speed anymore
People who put on the brakes as soon as they see headlights? Prob the most irritating thing driving at night when the car in front is flashing brake lights at you+1 on that. My personal bugbear - esp the ones that suffer from oncoming-trafficitis
Yep....and speeding up every time there is a clear stretch of road....to just above the speed I can do in a truck.People who put on the brakes as soon as they see headlights? Prob the most irritating thing driving at night when the car in front is flashing brake lights at you
Check car locks and unlocks when turning key in door lock before you need to use it one day to get in when remote has a hissy fit and not unlock the car.Checked for error codes.. apparently the drivers door doesn't lock or unlock.
Works perfectly fine
And people that buy a weeks shopping in a petrol station while parked at the pumps ..Yep....and speeding up every time there is a clear stretch of road....to just above the speed I can do in a truck.
Done that too, only passenger side has a key hole, that works ok tooCheck car locks and unlocks when turning key in door lock before you need to use it one day to get in when remote has a hissy fit and not unlock the car.
Oh my god, sorry. Not good news on that front. They think I have a TBI, being referred to Stanford Hall for further checks. If I have baked my swede then I am likely getting an MD and dementia in my near future.
On the P38 front. The UJ they sent me is shot. One end cap has mismatched bearings in it so it doesn't roll. Plus the grease was packed with corrosion in that cap, so something tells me this part has been tampered with in the past. So now I need to try and get it exchanged.

I wear glasses to drive and don't have a glare problem, although the optician normally manages to upsell me the magical coatings. They cannot see, that's why. I am told it is worse wearing spectacles because of the glare or something. Still does my head though.
Glasses definitely increase the glare, maybe special coatings help, polarization certainly does but as I'm passed fit to drive without glasses, it's not a problem, just the speedo is a bit blurredThey cannot see, that's why. Never had a problem with standard tungsten lights and I used to do a lot of night driving.I wonder if lighting will get better as the 'current' generation gets older? By better, i mean more fit for purpose, as opposed to even brighter
Sealed beams were rubbish, with low light output, but they didn't have a dipped beam hard cut off and the filament didn't go anywhere near the blue end to hamper eye focus and add glare. Result, you can see more in all conditions than with a modern brighter lampNever had a problem with standard tungsten lights and I used to do a lot of night driving.
Old lights are better for the eyes ,apparently led lighting makes a spectrum band of light that kills cells at the back of the eye, street lights cars even in offices AND mobile phones ....just have burned out retinas.
Blue is bad for the eyes. Again, never had a problem with sealed beam units although I thought they were stupid having to replace the whole unit for s failed filament. If you cannot see at night without ridiculously bright lights, maybe you should not be driving at night.Sealed beams were rubbish, with low light output, but they didn't have a dipped beam hard cut off and the filament didn't go anywhere near the blue end to hamper eye focus and add glare. That's so you know if someone attached a trailer while you weren't looking. . . . .. or nicked yours while asleep at the lights. Its got a light that stays on to show there's a trailer attached,
