I often think when a euro-box goes past and all you can hear is the boom boom boom of their stereo, "you need a better engine mate".Would have done me some good today!
No need for a stereo, the v8 is enough

I had an e36 6pot coupé, that was a sweet engine, the best I've ever had and probably ever likely to have! Didn't stop me having a 2000W sub in the boot though but that was different times.I often think when a euro-box goes past and all you can hear is the boom boom boom of their stereo, "you need a better engine mate".

I went out for a quick spin in mine too, John. I revelled in the EAS finally being hooked-up again after a year of pumping each corner up most days!Went for a nice long drive today alone with some good music on . Well was good for me. Came home feeling a lot better. God these cars can be good when they want to be
Get a 2nd P38 then it’s not a gamble as can lose nothing. Cheaper in long run and let’s face it your green oval syndrome is already bad as it gets. But is another non tophatted one worth the gamble?
6 pot P38 would solve most of your current issues. Well, replace them with new ones atleastI had an e36 6pot coupé, sweet engine, the best I've ever had
I've got the Volvo to nip around in if I need Mike. I don't go anywhere most of the time. You need a pair of those Mark...one per foot!
Alan the cat was asking about you kiddo. He'd not seen your posts.when it’s running

That's why I have 2 P38'sI'll give that a go next.
It was a purple/black I found a small repair on. Assuming it was a P/O. Unfortunately didn't fix anything splicing in a strong repair.
Although I mentioned scrapping it in, a P38 was a dream car from my youth. I've had mine for 10 years, the biggest issue with her is she is my daily driver. Really P38s need to be a weekend toy... or at least have a spare reliable second car in the stable. Sure MoT season is stressful, but that's the charm.
Electric cars are turning out to be even less reliable than modern ICE cars and they have the added benefit that, being "Connected", the government can turn them off if the want to.Couldn't agree more, I wouldn't buy a car made after 2000.
Same can be said for many of yours too. ****What a helpful post NOT
LOL, ****That's hardly surprising. Post history and original newbie posts say everything tbh.
Good luck with what ever you decide to do.I'll give that a go next.

See you Tuesday Matey.
the only sound should hear from an Ejoke is the compactorany car that's mechanically sound is worth saving
who said the ejoke was mechanically sound when it came out the factorythe only sound should hear from an Ejoke is the compactor
I got a brand-spanker from Kurt some time ago...Ran Otto at the weekend after disconnecting the EAS blue hose - compressor definitely not doing it's thing. Compressor off and stripped, can't see anything wrong, although after only about 100 miles the piston to barrel seems pretty loose and I'm sure it shouldn't be. Replaced the HP side O ring and checked the reeds - register marks and scoring, wondering if they are allowing pressure to damage the new seal instead of build and go into the system.
Plugged it back into the box, forced the pump with the nanocom, output still rubbish,
Thinking a cheapo pump to replace it and keep woring away. Maybe get some feeler gauges and cut myself some new reeds as a check. At least a piston seal / cylinder kit is only about £25 but done that twice already....
