Atleast I know there’s plenty of pressure from the pumps

Bugger what is it with these crappy bleed off pipes, unless its some thing to do with the new fuels:(
I replaced mine with Gates pipe, got the smell of diesel last week cover off and the number 6 injector blank cap was split.Had a few in the garage but I couldn't find them after a clean up. The local motor factor wanted £8.71 for a kit for a four cylinder kit, you can guess what I said and it wasn't Merry Christmas. Bought 10 for half the price they wanted.;) I'm now the injector blank cap Baron of the Wirral.:D

Im sure its the bio content that does it. When it was added in our area (around 2007 I think?) I had to do leak off pipes on 3 family vehicles in the space of 2 weeks

only put ^^^ on few months ago and hardly used the vehicle. I’ve chopped the end and stuck it back on. Have to wait until it dries then take for a drive and re check others as that was a particularly bad leak sprayed everywhere, you can see it got all over the hot engine  so glad I don’t have a petrol

The fuel doesn't seem to affect the leak off pipes on my Transit or my 50 year old tractor, The M51 leak off pipe arrangement is just crap BMW design.

Any members around Pulborough West Sussex tomorrow morning?A show of strength against cowboys like this prick is warranted. He's the one that is saying that P38,'s are a future classic and driving the prices up ,if they don't make his inflated prices he forgets they are sold:mad:
Pulborough:eek: I used to live there, my Jag came from Harwoods, a really good honest dealer in my experience but long gone I think.

How about Rogue Traders and Trading Standards? We cannot keep having this happen to people.
If we " ALL " as a collective go on his website, instagram and leave a negative review on him then that will hurt him badly and also report all his ebay adverts which will get him banned. It needs to be done as a collective and not a single person for it to take effect

@harryc check with your credit card provider tomorrow and make sure the transaction went through,if it did you bought the car
Agreed Alan albeit if harryc went in person to get the car i bet it will NOT be ready and because there is now annimosity that **** dealer will do little or nothing to make the car ready too so best option in my book would be refund in full and walk away. That will hurt him more as he will still be stuck with the car which he wont be able to sell AGAIN. LOL

And it's still on their website for £6995 so at least Harry will make a profit if he sells it.
The car never has or ever will be worth £6995. I still monitor P38's for sale and ive noticed a steady decline these last few months in values and ones selling and ones still for sale after many many months.

And your garage also got a tidy up too Alan. LOL

Can you get links and evidence together? The MoT history etc? Start a new thread and put it all there and we can get to work as a collective. Not just ebay though, Trading Standards, the lot.

Sort of. Spills or leak off from the mechanically supplied injectors. The return is the one going back to the tank. The FIP pumps fuel to them, they take what they need and rest ‘leaks’ off back to the return, no pressure rail

Not sure where I got these Grrrr? They are a motor factor job nothing special or heavy duty just usual crap. I may replace with a length of silicone tubing. It’s not suitable for fuel but how is that different from these spills. Another thought that’s going through my head is that since I now have a lift pump, is the fuel pressure building on a run as the old tired injectors aren’t using as much as they should? Or return blocked due to years of no lift pump?
^^^ one blew off when I booted it up the mountain held well over 4000 rpm and sprayed engine bay with fuel not the usual drip

Ive done my bit on my own mate. If others wish to express their displeasure then they will have to do it off their own backs and that way no single person can be targetted by anyone.
