Little jobs are adding up. Still don’t own a vice or even a g clamp now  I even keep all the tools I haven’t butchered yet and the breakdown kit in the boot ready for a catastrophe
It took me a while to work out I could avoid the rain just bring it indoors and chop it up in here. Ruins the wallpaper though and the dog were not too happy about it either
I thought she'd fecked off with your dining table.:D:D

She did but I got the dining table. It’s in the shed with P38 parts all over

Substitute the clamp / vice with 2 lengths of studding and some sturdy strap or angle to make a compression puller to get it in?

Hi there!

Finally managed to take her on long weekend on roads she was build for on Sardinia! Performed nicely, even consumption was around 17.5 l/100km on the transfer routes and around 22 offroad. On the way there the hood lock went, all three screws went! On the highway no less! Quite scary... On the island I feared that the carbs acted up again when she lost all power above 2k rpm on the last day. After filling up again, she performed nicely again, pulling all the way to 145 km/h, bad fuel I guess...

The vacation itself was great! The first day started with a swin in the sea, continued over some milder offroad routes to a nice old church in forests next to a 300 year+ old olive tree and ended again at beach for the night, incl. a swim. Dinner was sword fish with lemon, wild Rosmarin, gnocci and olive oil. On the beach, with the feet almost in the water.

Next day started with a swim again before gking back to the mountains on a off road road trip. Found a very nice spot next to mountain river, great for fishing it seems, with some swimming and multiple coffee breaks with panoramique views. Got lost on the way out, if the map shows a broken (!) line as a road, be assured it will turn into a overgrown hiking path at one point! Luckily scratches are easy enougj to polish out.

Spent the night in great hotel I know from the last vacation there. Unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked, they reserved a table in comparable one for us so. So the day ended with a great 4 course typical Sardinian diner, the next one started with a home made Sardinian breakfast. The home made ricotta with honey is just delicious, as are the cakes and everything else.

Thr last day was just rain, so instead of going back over a couple of offroad mountain roads we visited a great drop stone cave. Went back to the ferry the same day and back home the following day.

Good to finally used her as intended for the first time!

Turns out he’s right. Rod was watching Manchester United play Inter Milan in ‘99, went up on the roof to adjust the TV then they found him on the floor
Yes mate it was as Alan mentioned and what you now know mate. Sad it was. Poor Emu. Sadly Rod Hull died quite penniless too it was recorded. His work dried up and Emu in later years along with all those great acts from the 70's decided to come out in public under operation yewtree claiming they had all been fisted for years!!! LOL.

Don’t even go there bout dining table I’m getting there slowly all seats re coloured just small bits to to do to them now passenger one back in the car the enemy well happy be getting the rear off the table later this week I hope

Just got the confirmation, I can pick up a new hood, in what seems to be near perfect state, this Friday. Not sure what color, but who cares when the roof is tangier orange already. Might also pick up some decent Vogue alloy rims in 16" (those three spoke ones) in green. And potentially some other bits and pieces for the interior that are either worn out or missing with mine. Fingers crossed that trip wont ruin me, I still have to break the overdrive to my wife...

I could still bite me as I sold four them with the car I got the orange roof from. Well, I guess I get a new set. Should come handy if I really get the old lady a second set of tires for winter (just in case) and longer trips (mts aren't really needed nost of rhe time anway).
