Drained the brake fluid, lots of smallish bits of metal came out
Well the new modulator is in place.. just need to bolt it up.. put all the brake pipes back in, fusebox back on.. so much easier without that in place!!
Then comes the bleedin' bleed process

Even with 32s they spin too easy, keep thinking my clutch has gone when the revs go mad. Doesn't make any difference to fuel consumption, if anything its using slightly more id say.
Off the vehicle soaking in GT85 all week and still nothing budging on the shaft. i need to get heat on it but cant remember who i lent my heat gun to.

350 Miles home, blinkin eck that's brave I would've booked another flatbed to follow. Looks well smart BTW.So, started the day yesterday at 6am, heading down south to pick up the new RR. Friend was driving me down in his car. Weather was awful. Got to Wetherby services and after pulling in, the brakes went solid. Then the car wouldn't start or was intermittent at best. Long story short, the vacuum pump had given up ("I wonder if that's what the loud ticking noise has been the past few months" ). He has no breakdown or recovery so I used mine. Arrived at the services at 10am.
...come 2:30pm, a tech has been and said its not driveable, recovery flatbed organised. The promised hire car hadn't arrived and apparently, was realistically, 3 to 4 hours before any chance so cancelled that and paid for a taxi to the dealer - £208.
Got to the dealer at 4:55pm, 5 minutes before they close. A 5 minute drive of the car, lots of money exchanged and I left with this handsome thing. The drive back was great - the pick up and power of this machine is incredible for something so large and heavy. It has a few niggles to sort that only became apparent once I'd left and they'd closed up (I was parked at the side of their private property sorting tax and insurance). It has a soft suspension fault (what RR doesn't?) but that also seems to knock out forward advance system.. Which also kills cruise control (which wasn't ideal given the 350 miles journey home). Anyway, pretty chuffed as its fully loaded.

Brakes on one of my P38's seem quite sharp. the other one they are a bit wooden and need a harder push, I think it's down to the brake pad material.Well it's all back together. Not sure whether it's bled properly! How do you definitively know? Brakes work but don't feel sharp, pretty sure i didn't get oil on the discs.
