Did manage to get an abs/traction error, implausible rough road signal! Could that be down to poorly radius arm bushes?

2mm is huge! was that a typo? no way a jubilee clip will compress the outer metal sleeve of a bush? or do i need extra weetabix? :D
The outer sleeve are not metal, mate and it's not a typo.I did them once using jubilee clips and plenty of lub.The last time I used poly's, only for the axle bushes much easier and I never noticed the difference.

Has anyone heard anything lately from this Marty chap who runs the P38 shop and is based close to where i live in Swindon??? i gather he works abroad a lot?? his website page has not been altered since October 2020 notice he put up and i have had no reply to the email i sent him about his RF modulators he does.
Just wondering if he is in contact offline of this forum with anyone??

Cheers
Marty's in NZ until April I believe.

Ah k, i thought they as I've watched folk knocking one out on YouTube o_O with a hammer and chisel

Guessing i might as well replace all 3 and do both arms while I'm at it. Not hot a press, will i manage with a vice?

I replaced my Classic radius arm bushings with a vice. Hacksawed out the old ones quite easily. Then pressed new in with vice. But last one was tight, and vice broke in half, lol. Vice was a cheap Chinese job so no wonder! Took the arm to LR dealer and mechanic finished pressing it it for me, no charge. Top bloke.

They were a piece of pi$$ compared to the P38. They are not steel sleeved and need a tapered former to squeeze them as they are pressed in.

Silly question.. wots the sleeve made of if not metal and how do you press it in to place if there's nothing to press against? Or do you press the whole lot?

I'm sure it will become obvious when it's in my hand...

Just had my AA breakdown renewal quote. Seems a bit steep at £170 for roadside+relay on any vehicle?

Any recommendations? Preferably from a firm that turns up in hours rather than days.

I use start rescue personal 2 star cover, which is any vehicle (inc bikes) with nationwide recovery to either home or destination £75, had to use a couple of times for the bike
