Has anyone heard anything lately from this Marty chap who runs the P38 shop and is based close to where i live in Swindon??? i gather he works abroad a lot?? his website page has not been altered since October 2020 notice he put up and i have had no reply to the email i sent him about his RF modulators he does.
Just wondering if he is in contact offline of this forum with anyone??

Cheers

2mm is huge! was that a typo? no way a jubilee clip will compress the outer metal sleeve of a bush? or do i need extra weetabix? :D

No typo the hole in the arm is 58mm and the bushes are 60mm
I know a few have done it with out the tool and press but as the set of bushes i got came with the tool and i have access to a 10 ton press so it was easy,
getting the old ones out is a 2min job with a drill .

I agree with that. PO poly bushed my P38 and the ride quality has suffered on anything but an ultra smooth surface, and where do you find them now?
yep I was only ever going to use OEM
was thinking I should do the ARB bushes while I'm at it, thinking of replacing those with poly? thoughts?

That is the one i have, the other option is get the arms ready and pop the down to the local garage to press them in for some beer money,
i dont know how much it would cost to post the tool up to you than back when you have done.
i personaly would not use poly on the arb they are easy to do as they are split and if you are doint them as well as radius you might as well do the panhard rod then thats the complete front.

i'd thought about asking the local garage to do it.. also thought about knocking up a DIY frame and buying a 10 ton bottle jack o_O
good point on the panhard :)
posting twice can't be cost effective :/

This is what gets frustrating on here sometimes you know you could help and do it no problem but the distance makes it a no especially atm:(

I had a break it the weekend and as the sun came out I did a bit more on the front end

Just got to wait till it'd dry and fit it all back then do the pan hard rod and a bit more paint on the axle

He went abroad because the UK shut down. He might be in NZ. I sent him a text message about a week ago (UK phone) and got no response. I hope he's OK.

Someone usually keeps an eye on the sote for him when he is away.

Yes it mentions someone called Nick who is looking after the shop for him albeit no answer from him either.

Took my Scooter out for a burn today and it ended up a disaster and she is now at the Scooter doctors after a 2 mile walk pushing the B**tard thing in the sun with my Mod parka on. LOL.

Had to leave it there and get the missus to pick me up .
