I feel like for all the horror stories there is enough support out their to maintain an L322 in the same way you can with other similar LR products. I’m getting fairly tempted to give up the big pcp bill that I have for the my current car and join in the fun if you’ll have me!

What's it going to be? The red pill or the blue pill?
 
One pill gives me a £370 monthly bill for a very nice new Mustang that I got a huge discount on from a desperate to sell dealer. Due to COVID it’s done 2000 miles in 6 months, not quite the road trip toy it was supposed to be. New office is going to be 9 miles from home instead of 22 into London pre lockdown, and in any case we won’t be back there until October at the very earliest. Will give me some time to do the preventative jobs I have in mind should I decide to do something.

My mate has a pcp deal on his shiny car about £400ish per month. :confused: He comments whenever iv got the bonnet up or when I'm working on it, I pointed out to him that
1. I own it
2. I enjoy working on it
3. He spends more per than I do in a year on bits n bobs/fixes.
4. I wont get screwed on a final payment when they say this panel has a scratch this tyres is bad blah blah blah
5. :D:D:D
 
I get that all the time with my Classic." You will polish the paint off that" "You are always doing something with that" My Classic has seen off 11 other cars from Mercs L322 Range Rovers, P38'S and loads of others. I love my car. And I can fix anything on it. I have changed gearboxes on my drive and anything else that it needs after nearly 24 years of ownership.
 
Messed about with odds n sods today my fsr decided to give up last night made for a chilly drive home, still heated seats, steering wheel and heated rear and front screens made it bearable.

Had a look under the dash wiggles the wires and the blower starts up.......ok time to pull it out. Found the main 12v supply slightly burnt in the plug connector seems a common BMW thing. New one orderd.
Next on the list was fit my ctek charger via the boot fuse box, 5 mins and job done.
Final job was fit mikalor clamps to my new exhaust not sure I'm getting a good tight joint and seal will see tomorrow cold stopped play.
Cup of tea 5 mins on the bay new fsr and plug orderd.
Beer time
Bbq ribs n burgers yum
 
Oil n filter change today, found a small coolant leak at the lpg vapouriser so will be looking at that this week.
Havnt messed with the fsr yet as my temp fix is holding up. Need to post Pete's fuse box back will try again tomorrow my local post office was closed today no reason given.
