they will be mud eventually 
They just look a bit tired and rusty atm, so will be taking them off, and giving them a clean and repaint to help tidy the truck up.

Limestone in gloss or satin. What ever takes your fancy really. You can buy a tin of it on Amazon now for £35
I would get them done properly, so they can be powder coated, as home finished sometimes struggle to stand up to tyre machines that garages have to use to get tyres on and off. I speak from experience

might just do that, I can always do one at a time (so I can still use the fender) or I might look for a second set
