Hi everyone,

I’ve got a series 3 2.25 petrol 1980. Ignition problems. Seemingly inconsistent spark at the points can’t really work out what it is. Thinking about going electronic ignition if anyone has any thoughts?

But whilst looking at it I noticed the below wire was hanging loose. I’m not sure where it has come from. Black with white trace coming through the loom at bulkhead. See image.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dan

Probably someone’s add on, lot of accessory’s had that colour wire back in the day, bugger, that makes me feel old

It should go to the PDWA thingy down on the chassis beside the engine. "Pressure differential warning actuator", brake failure warning...

This but it can also have a Brake servo failure switch in series with the Pressure differential warning actuator.
