hi all
I have a wet drivers carpet.
Have had a quick poke around and cant see anywhere obvious where it is coming in

Any suggestions

is there any kind of coolant smell in the car?

its more than likey what Beast o Bodmin said your O-rings or your drain is clogged up and has came loose

Well on a process of deduction

have no butler....
i havent ****ed in it nor i belive has the dog..

O rings ??
air con has no belt on it at the moment ( like it when i bought it)
but havent checked to see if it has gas, do i just crack the pipe to check or is there another way??

so i reckon that means the missus must have peed in it...
will interogate her now

sounds like your o rings then,

I have the same problem at the moment, along with all the other problems

right i have questioned the missus

took a while to reply as getting the feeling back in my fingers after she took umbrage to my line of questioning

so what o rings and where are they located and are they easy to change

I too get a wet carpet on the drivers side. Fault on mine is where the inner front wheel arch meets the bulk head. Probably not the same fault as yours but another place to check.

check out range rover .net, its all there and very helpful, i read it over and over, and when i understood it , i read it again just 2 be sure, and then tackled mine , it took me 4 hours in cluding stripping another car for a corroct bolt instead of the phillips screw. has nothing 2 do with t air con, so i would not let off any gas yet, do t o rings first, then tackle t a c.

Hi

have u got the link saved for rangerovers.net

re the o rings where did you buy them or did you rob them from a donor motor

B##ger

Towel is wet

so reckon that will be centre console out for me when my back gets better

Still cant complain have had it a month and only serviced it

I have done a fair bit of work on a problem like this with my P38.
If the coolant pipe o rings have gone I am aware that the carpet and lining will be damp / wet down the side of the transmision tunnel.
The problem I started with was rain water etc leaking in through the pollen filter covers and down through the fan motor blades into the drivers footwell.
Very recently I had to remove the metal plate that bolts into the bulkhead and the wiper motor on the drivers side pokes through.
I found that like the pollen filter covers the thin foam seal had perished and was letting water leak in the the fan duct, through the blades of the fan and back into the drivers footwell.
since removing and resealing with a suitable sealant it seems to have sorted it.

Best of luck.
