Have a great day tomorrow, whatever you guys are doing!
Had a productive afternoon/evening in the sunshine fixing bits on Storm, such as the brand new, fecked anti roll bar links which clunked as soon as I drove her off Neils ramp! Thanks to a parcel arriving from JGS 4x4 on ebay, I decided to crack on after collecting my motorcycle from the garage. Neil said pics, or it didn't happen so I'm going to start a thread in the Discovery section. - I'll post a link when I've set it up
Have to report that the on & off road test proved successful - properly linked anti roll bar, ready for the MOT. Went down one of my local lanes, and met another couple of vehicles out playing. No pics, because the sight of me panicked them a little!
As I approached the ford in the bottom on the valley, a Land Cruiser and an L200 (maybe??) or Hilux.. not sure with big mud tyres were parked looking at the stream, as I arrived, a couple quickly walked off the bridge back to the pickup - I shouted no rush - I'm out for a play as well! They thought I might have come to give them a bollocking for being where they shouldn't as they'd only heard about the lane from someone else (serves them right for the paranoia about not checking the lane themselves
). Once they realised I was local, and they were on the correct lane and it's legal to be there they were asking me about any other lanes in Lancashire. They were from Blackpool and had only been to Cowm Quarry pay & play, and used one of their dads fields for tearing round. I said Lancs is a bit crap as far as lanes are concerned. Went our separate ways at the end of the lane - seemed OK to me - they didn't try and hoof it on the uphill part. One of the lads used to have a P38, but he never got it on the road - he jumped it in a field and blew out an airbag & the poor thing was never right since!
Off to post up that car park workshop thread.. :tea:
