Hi guys,
Thought I'd do a bit of an update on my truck, as it's starting to come together now ready for some mud.
First of all, top shout out to Warren and Muddymods, or Diesel-Do as you may know him. After some good advice from him in choosing my wheel and tyres and then my lift kit, I ordered it though his website last week, arrived within a couple of days with no issues. Would recommend this guy for anything Freelander, check out his website and get you list together as Christmas is only round the corner!
Anyway after some serious effing and jeffing on Sunday it is now fully fitted with a 40mm lift kit. Subtle noticeable difference but definately worth it when I get it off road soon.
No issues with fitting the kit at all, machined perfectly and looks very solid. The issues were with the bas***d brake pipes on the back! After several different versions of mole-grips and spanners trying to undo them, they did eventually give in, and things were looking up. Until it was time to bleed the rear brake cylinders!!!! Absolutely seized to f**k!!!! 7:30pm Sunday evening, tools were thrown into the garage and door was slammed! Few minutes later two new wheel cylinders ordered!
Home from work Monday evening feeling positive! Lasted all of five minutes, up until trying to undo the small 8mm bolts holding the wheel cylinders to the back plates! You don't even know what it took to get those out! 8:30pm Monday evening, new cylinders fitted and brakes bled. All good. So here's the pictures as that's what we all really look forward to seeing on these threads...

Doesn't look a lot on the pictures but it is noticeable in the real life!
Words of wisdom are this, be prepared to get angry when those wheel cylinder bleed nipples don't move and if you screw up that solid brake pipe on the rear strut. If I had to do another one, I would have the parts there to replace if I needed them, or just order them too and change them as it's another job done and you can give those rear brake shoes and drums a quick check over.
