na not scary...zf all worked out..(power of osciliscope!).now to get the vss signal to read properly..very very noisey at present, causing all manor of weird things to happen..
bloody LR..who in there right mind would ground gearbox ecu and solenoids via body and not directly to box?!so earth is traveling along body, to engine strap via engine to gearbox!!
no bloody wonder vss sig is crap!!..c ure that tomoz!

now the 2nd bloody alternator has gone pop...

thinking i should fitted another toyota engine..4.7 tundra prehaps...

so now hunting a NON lucas alt that will fit!!

finallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly got the megashift ecu to work..it was having problems with the gearbox vss input, so built variable inductance transducer conditioner outside unit...
now a nice smooth speedo for the ecu to work from....

its rather nice!!have mappable gear changes, mappable pressure control valve..dual maps..full manual control...so flappy padels here we come!!

looking good there zen, is that turner studio your using? what's the live tuning like? been thinking of giving ts ago as ive been using megatune and megalog viewer, but still getting my head round all this tuning, on another note tho just passed the mot with mine and the tester was shocked at how low the emissions where with no cats, just shows how good megasquirt is.

megatune is obsolete..tuner studio is the one to use..buy it..dont use the free version..

cheers zen bought turnerstudio and the updated megalog viewer but really need to get me head around tuning as iam getting some really weird values put in my ve table by both ts and mlv, the engine build was the easy bit compared to the tuning;) think im going to need to get myself a wide band instead of the narrow band, anway how is the beast coming along?:D

testing out the power..seem to have destroyed rear diff..opps..

early type or 24 spline if with halfshafts ..thanks..


exhaust changed now..runninng 24inch centre box and 2 twin outlet tail pipes...much better, lovely burble and still screams on power but not so much at cruise speed..
 
Looking good there zen, must admit I'm now thinking of putting lpg on the 4.0 90 as mpg is dire, but that's prob because I can't keep me foot off the loud pedal :)
